To master the fundamentals of user experience (UX) design and principles for great websites, follow these 7 fundamental principles:
- User-centricity – Always do what’s best for the user. With the UX design principles, we are looking to create products or services that solve a “pain problem” for the user. And by considering the user’s persona, where they are at in the “buyer’s journey” and testing solutions to their problems that will be the best fit. You are well on your way to developing a trusting relationship with that potential customer using CRM (customer relationship management).
- Consistency – It helps design work look professional and communicates clearly. Consistency looks professional and ensures that your design work is communicating the way it was intended to. Without consistency of design, elements like color, text and size, etc can leave people feeling confused and your composition looking cluttered.
- Hierarchy – In Graphic Design, hierarchy takes advantage of seven key principles, including size, color, contrast, repetition, alignment, and brightness to highlight certain characteristics of the design. You show the importance within design by controlling these factors.
